GVN Foundation Research
At the GVN Foundation we believe that we have a commitment to our donors to ensure that their funds are put to the best possible use. We have therefore begun to be involved in several research projects, with a particular focus on how to develop sustainability in orphanages.
Good Practice in Orphanages Report
This research project was conducted by Eliza Raymond, GVN Foundation's Grants Coordinator. Eliza has a Masters focused on good practice in international volunteer programs and has worked with orphanages all over the world.
The report focuses on developing our understanding of what a ‘model orphanage’ is. The results include an orphanage development framework and a number of recommendations regarding future GVN Foundation funding.
Self-Sustainability in Orphanages
This research project was conducted by Christine Curry, one of our Eat So They Can ambassadors. Christine studies International Economics and has travelled and worked all over the world.
The report builds on our orphanage development framework by providing detailed examples of possible sustainability projects.
